OOBs for the BoBs

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

OOBs for the BoBs

Post by Hard Sarge »

not sure what is going on, on the other side and I don't want these just sitting around waiting (I see people are asking for PBEM games)

so will release the BoBs OOBs

just unzip into the dat folder, let them over write what is there

(RAF player vs LW AI in 41 should be interesting)

Sir,

I assume that by installing these OOB's that any BoB games in progress will have to be restarted?

It's not a problem, I just want to know if I need to finish my current game before I install.

By the way, YOU are the BOMB!! (Pun intended...[;)])

for what it is worth, you can install the new OOBs and keep playing the saved game, you will just use the OOB that you had when you saved the game

for any of the changes made in the OOBs, you will need a restart

(been called a lot of things in my life, but don't Bomb has been one of them !)

thanks

hope you like it

About a 10 minute drive. Saginaw is just north of 820 and west of I-35W.

As these OOBs were released after the last patch, what did they change?

BTW those kind of fixes, corrections, etc. that were released after the patch should be folded into one collection thread, as there is now new patch on the horizon it's at least something the users can do to bring the game up-to-date.

Looking thru the changed OOB, only thing that looks strange are the Ju-88.
1. A-5 has MG 17 instead MG 15, I think early ones had one MG 17 as a fixed forward gun fired by pilot/co-pilot but the A-5 should have just a single MG 15 firing forward and all MG should be type 15 not 17.
2. C-2 I'm unsure about the armament some sources mention 2 MG FF/M, some say 1 and some say 2 additional to the one already installed, also type MG FF/M and normal MG FF are mixed, in any case it looks like the C-Stand(the BR) MG was removed in case of more canons on board.
3. D-1 looks OK but as only plane using MG 81 I wonder if the values of the MG shouldn't be better, maybe more effect as it had a higher rate of fire compared to MG 15, but MG 17 looks strange too as with less range and less effect than MG 15 but in reality it had a longer barrel, high muzzle velocity and higher rate of fire compared to MG 15.

What about the Do-17Z-2 in night bombings, they use 20x BSK ICB Cluster only, that is neither the normal nor the reduced load and I just wonder where that comes from.
What is the use this "flame only" loadout, I guess without bombs the firestarters won't have the same effect as the Ju88 or H111 have with their bomb/fire bomb loadouts.
