Combat is looking good... bit of an off tangent question though.

Does the music in the Combat video come from the game? I really like it, and it really helps the atmosphere when watching the video (and as an extension, when playing the game! [:)])

XD I wish I knew!

I best mention at this point before I get asked a plethora of questions cause I got the video up. I have no relation to Code Force or Matrix games(though feel free to make offers [:D] ), I just have the youtube account subscribed!

However I am interested myself, as it is pretty awesome music, Care to enlighten us :P

Another question:
Are the scrollbars (1:50 in the video) the same as in the release-version?
I think they are a bit out of style, as everything else is black and there are only these windows-standard-scrollbars.
Same with the dropboxes.

The actual Combat looks a bit fast and spammy, but with the scale of the game it is kinda expected. The setting up of ship design and supply is where the depth lies.

I do not like that you get those huge buffs from conquering Aliens. It should be scaled down.

Nice find and awesome video, the game is looking great - I can't wait to play it. I imagine there's a high possibility of going on my shelf of classic games, which is reserved to the likes of MoO 2, Space Empires IV, X-Com: Enemy Unknown, Jagged Alliance 2, M.A.X, Civilization and Planescape: Torment... a very exclusive crowd of games that means a lot to me :)

Yes, that's the music that comes with the game. Although as you probably already know, you can customize the sounds and music.

During these battles, do you also have fighters that come from ships or is it only ship on ship battles?  Thanks!

The videos in no way do this game justice. Although this latest one is my favorite. If you are tired of pre-made space scenarios, and want to customize them for your own playing style, this game is perfect. I like to sometimes play a peaceful system and just concentrate on building and expanding, without wars. That's simple.

The entire opposite is also simple. You can set a game up so that the minute it starts, you are at war with everybody. [;)]

Then you probably don't need to hear that each time you play the game, Microsoft sends you a $100. [;)]

The editor is great, you can setup a galaxy however you want. Planets, ships, pirate fractions, whole systems it can all be added or removed with click of the mouse. [:)]

Can i start out with a surround on the Ikkuro homeworld with a "bowl" of my own empire, forcing them into submission from the first minute of the game? [:D][:D]
