Night flying Betty's cannot use torpedos?

I may be wrong here, but I thought Betty pilots were adept at flying night time raids and several such raids were flown against Allied SCTF's during the Guadalcanal campaign armed with torpedoes. Is there a reason why Betty's in the game cannot fly such missions? Can you actually carry out night time naval strikes against TF's? I haven't tried yet, but wonder if it is a viable operation?

Hmmm, never seen Betty's do night bombing but Nell's yes, quite often and they are almost as good and deadly!

The biggest hurdle with nighttime naval attacks is spotting....getting enough DL on the TF to trigger a launch. Had to use subs in Witp.

yep, roll for detection, roll for planes flying, whenever I actually get planes to bomb fleets at night its party time in HQ! lol
I getthem to fly against ports and airbases, so I usually use the two target method, navel as first then port or airfeild as second, so they are geared to fly... anyone find a better way? I am not sure I want my enemy to be flying at night, either side it is harsh on ships
