I'm wondering that too... The game hasn't even been released yet and the negativity is a little saddening. [:(]

I think people are afraid that their (too?) high expectations will not be met or that the strange desire/nice feeling of the anticipation of the game (they would rather dream of it instead of playing it) will end when it is released (since then there is only the real thing once it is released and no anticipation/dreaming anymore). Or perhaps they are just remembered of the dissatisfaction when Moo3 was released.

Pre-release psychology is an interesting phenomenon. I've seen it all and nothing surprises me any more.

Why are you all so negative all of a sudden?
I'm not being negative about Distant Worlds. I was mentioning some past observations regarding similiar situations, though. I'm still excited and positive about Distant Worlds. I am trying to balance my thoughts about it because it's wise to remember similiar situations to be pepared.

Heh. Pre-release phychology phenomenon sounds either too in depth for such a situation;...or it sounds naughty.
