Multiple Sorties

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Multiple Sorties

Post by Michael T »

Is there any way that Allied fighters can do more than one mission per day? Obviously the Germans can fly more than once. But I can't see how to do this as Allied. Historically the Allied fighter units often flew out with the big boys, returned to base, rearmed-refueled and then flew out to bring them home. I can't see how to do it in the game.

You can't do it on the same mission, but you can use them on a different mission. iirc you need a 6 hour break.

I've definitely had Allied fighters fly twice a day, but like Harley says there is a decent break in between. Normally I can fly an early morning mission and an afternoon mission with the same squadron or group.

Of course the longer the first mission the later the squadron gets home, meaning it will be that much later before it is ready again.

This is okay, as long as you play BoB because of the shorter ranges.
In BtR I seldom use it, because if your first raid was hit hard by interceptors, you often have less that a quarter of your escorts ready after the 6 hours standdown, repair, refuel and rearm time.
