Has anyone mentioned the mini map?

Post by JudgeDredd »

The fact that if you click on a system in the minimap, it doesn't centre on the system you clicked on??

On the example below, I clicked on my system (RED) which was over in the far right, and this is where the minimap scrolled to and as you can see, on the main map, I'm not seeing my system...even though I clicked it?

Not seeing that here at all, the minimap works as expected on our systems. Let me move this to tech support.

I've found that when I use the mousewheel to zoom in on my cursor, I usually end up zoomed in somewhere away from where my cursor was actually positioned... :)

Do you have it set to zoom to cursor in the options?

I suppose it's worth pointing out a couple of things... 1. This only seems to happen in the System map (and possibly to a lesser extent the Galaxy map) - Sector maps are fine for using the minimap to jump 2. With each successive click, the minimap seems to get closer to where you want to view

With regard to my second point above, if you look at this set of pictures, each time I click on my system, the blue square gets more accurate from 1 through 5 until at 5 it is eventually sitting where I wanted it to be

Not sure what could cause this, but thank you for the clear example. Elliot will have to take a look and see if he can figure this one out. We'll probably have to postpone that until after we get this first quick update out though.

It's obviously not a game breaker Erik...just slapped me in the face as it was one of the first things I wanted to do in the System map.

Whenever will be soon enough [:D]
