Trading With Other Races

Do the A.I. controlled races trade techs with each other? I'd hate to trade away something that might end up in the wrong hands, tentacles, or other appendages.

Also, considering their importance, I'm surprised resources are not a tradable commodity, ala Civ. It would be nice to sell a tech or a map for an in-demand luxury resource, for example. I think Elliot really missed the boat on this one.

Yes, they do trade with each other. Adding resources to trade deals is a good suggestion, though implementing that with the private sector interaction could be slightly tricky. I really like the idea though.

I think it could be doable, but difficult. Only allow resource trading between allies, for example (which is the only time it would make sense anyway).

By the way, have we mentioned how much we appreciate you giving up your Saturday to help us better navigate the learning curve?

Perhaps you could restrict/grant access in diplomatic relations to some key resources and let the private sector take care of the trading. In essence, it would be a more detailed trade embargo or pact
