Game stopped responding

Tried to save my game and the game stopped responding during the save execution. I get a non-valid file message when I try to reopen the game.

I'm currently uploading the file to the ftp site as I type this, just wanted to give you a heads up in here to look for the new upload.

Thanks Jim, that sounds potentially serious, we will take a look. How long did you wait for the save to complete? Do you have any prior saves from that game that we could look at to see the settings and such?

No other saves sorry, in the future I’ll work with two saves. At 60 megs each it would get a bit cumbersome to create more than one per game, so I was over-writing the old one each time. I suspect the sheer size of the save file it was trying to create may have caused it to time out or something, I don’t know.

I let it go for quite a while, even after the spinning mouse icon disappeared from my screen. I suspect when that happened is when the thing timed out or whatever, but I let it go several minutes longer before hitting ctrl-alt-del to see if it was not responding. Sure enough the program was listed as not responding, so I closed it.
