Deleting ships questions

Post by HsojVvad »

I am not shure if I read the manual wrong or not, so I am afraid to do this. If I want to delete ships that were pre-made, are they deleted for good, or just for my current game? I read something about when you make a ship for one game, the design is saved for your next game, so I am afraid to delete things now.

What I wanted to do, was delete almost every single ship in the game, (as per my other post, how to play an almost pre-warp DW game) and delete all those ships in the ship building screen, but I want them back in my next game.

So what happens when I delete a ship or ships? Do they come back in the next game, or once I delete them, they get deleted in the file folders, and I should back them up then and put them back so I can play my next game. If that is the case, what files and folders are they?

Also what ships shouldn't I delete? By that I mean should I keep the civilian ships then? If I delete them, I don't think civilians would be able to build any ships then, and that could hurt the economy then. Also what do civilians need to build ships? Is it a space station or what? What structure or building makes civilian ships.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

The civilians pay the government(player) to use ship contruction slots in a space port. If civilians are using all your slots then you need more ship construction sites. The civilian slots free up if you slow expansion, as they strt slowing their civilian ship constuction.

I think there should be an option at a shipyard to force the shipyard to start building a military ship, should there be a civilian ship being currently built there.

Instructing a shipyard to do this should cost more money than the ship you want building (because the State has to compensate the civilian for the loss of their ship/money thus far).

What I really want to know, if I delete all the desings in one game, will they be back when I start a new game? I like the idea of civilian ships, I don't think I want to delete them. But I just want to make shure, in this game I am playing now, if I delete all military ships, that when I start a new game, they will be back, and I didn't delete them permently from the game.
