Right-Mouse-Clicks

Post by Stardog »

Howdy!

Haven't trolled the posts to see if this is in here SOMEWHERE? If it is so sorry.

EXAMPLE = Select a ship say COLONY SHIP > OK now you want to send it to a specific planet to build a colony there > OK now you find your planet on the map & zoom in on the planet Cool > now the little Racing finish line flag comes up over the planet OK Then game reads send "name of ship" to colonize planet RIGHT MOUSE CLICK Sweet > Now you right click on mouse > the Racing finish line flag doesn't go away I can't tell if the command has been excepted or not? the flag is still on the end of my mouse pointer??

This goes for all ship commands that ask for a MOUSE RIGHT CLICK action & have a picture/icon image - patrol, escort, ect

The only way I found to make the image go away is to left click in the screen.. Is this a bug?

I see that there a Patch out. I'll load it and see if goes away.
Thanks again of this game guys so far its pretty Sweet!

I thought this too. But once you right click on your planet to colonize, the Colony Ship is still selected. Because the mouse is hovering over the planet still that is why it's asking if you want to send it there, even though you already did.

Picture this, 3 asteroinds all on the same screen. If you have a ship highlited already, you can right click on asteroid one and it will go there. If you go over asteroid 2, it will ask you to right click if you want to go there, or if you hover your mouse over asteroid 3, it will ask you right click and go there.

The way I see it, is when you have a ship selected, and the mouse hovers over an planet, star, moon what ever, what ever the main option of that ship, it will ask you to right click to do it. Don't forget, if you right click the first time, look at the bottom left of the screen, you will still see your colony ship is still selected and the mission will be to colonize said planet. It's just because your mouse is still hovering over the planet that it tells you to do it. It dosn't go away just because you clicked on it, because that is the action a colony ship will do when ever a mouse is hovered over a planet.

Hope this makes sence.

I wish there was a sound or a little graphic or something, or a "order confirmed" on the message bar at the top...something, to tell me that the ship is doing what I want.

And a little "errnt" or error sound or message when you select a private civilian ship and try and move it, thats kind of frustrating...
