If I buy Distant Worlds what kind of download is it?

If I buy Distant Worlds what kind of download is it?

Hi Guys,

Do I get a Setup.exe type of thing to download at time of purchase? Is that all it is? Then install and enter the Serial number?

Can I save this file/files to CD or DVD? so I am not limited to my download time, or paying an extra 10 bucks for physical copy...

I dont like how i have to pay extra to get a download agreement for 2 years...

Are these things allowed?

-You can copy the game to a disk(I think it is 2 legally). I think... Matrix Games offers unlimited downloads in the unlimited future if you supply your information(even without paying the extra Digital River fee).

-You can delete that Digital River insurance extra fee from your shopping summary. It's just a requirment from Digital River thatMatrix Games shows it there.

ok and copy protection stuff? if i use this on a 2nd computer is that ok? or does it not allow that via checking online or something.

Yes, that's exactly how it works.

Yes, absolutely. In fact, we recommend that if you get the download only that you burn it to a CD for backup or put it on a backup hard drive.

Digital River requires us to add that in, it goes to cover their re-download costs. It would make things right with them if we were ever not around, but as long as we are around, re-downloads will not be a problem. We have customers still re-downloading games from 7 years ago without that.

Only copy protection is the serial key.

You can install on up to two PCs, as long as you only play it on one PC at the same time (basically, don't install it on a family members PC and play at the same time etc.)

No DRM, no online activation, no "phone home", just a serial number check.

You are allowed to install it on two different computers, as long as you only play it on one at a time.
