Some suggestions

I don't know how realistic it'd be to get these into the game, probably too late now for this kind of stuff. But I was just thinking of some things that'd really help alot, especially mid-late game when there's quite abit going on, even with things mostly automated.

1) It'd be really nice to be able to bookmark places. I often play with Standard maps, and have fleets of 15-20 explorers. I'll often seem to get events in spurts. I'll find an ancient battlefield, let out some space critters, etc. And then I'll get called away, and a bunch more events scroll past and I'll forget where those places were.

2) It'd also be really nice to be able to have some sort of tree view for ship parts. Like, say I want to see all (Not just recent) weapons, because the new one uses let's say 22 space while the old one does slightly less damage but uses 13. So I have to untick the "hide obsolete parts" option, and dig.. Because all the parts are in one list, it's a pretty long one, even if you sort it by type.

3) Maybe this is in, but it'd be nice to be able to rename fleets, or tell a whole fleet to refit to newest model or scrap. I couldn't seem to do this, maybe not all the ships were in the same place? Dunno.

4) Also, it'd be cool to be able create sub-classes of ships. Like, I want to stick a deathray on a destroyer, but I don't want all new destroyers to have a deathray. It'd be nice to be able to create a subclass of destroyer specifically for it, and disable the AI from even suggesting to build it. Right now if I want to do this, I need to create a new destroyer, add the deathray, and then upgrade my current destroyer plan, making sure it doesn't include it. And I'm not even sure if the AI will auto-refit my deathray destroyers later if/when I automate fleets, and ship creation. (Does it?)

5) Also, can we get a way to disband multiple troop stacks at once? My last game I was playing just to see what kind of craziness a large empire on the 1400 star system would look like. I ended up with some 15,000 individual stacks of troops. I think the upkeep on them alone was something like 450k, and after I defeated the last AI empire I *really* wanted to disband them, but it was taking something like 3-5 seconds per stack disband. I'd already "won", and was at least 3.5M in the black, but I'm sure I could find a use for an extra 450k. :)

Anyways, awesome game. Keep up the good work [&o]

You actually beat a bunch of AI? How did you manage that? Must of been a logistical nightmare. LOL.

Yea, made a special fleet, loaded up with troop ships, and well.. It was a long slog. Jump in, obliterate defenses, land troops, wait for planet to be taken over. While the planet is being taken over by ground troops, I either attempted to use a refueling ship to refuel them. They actually work fairly well if you can get them deployed and defended quickly.

It's very satisfying to watch your escorts chase down and blow up enemy civilian shis too. [:@]

Then after the planet is captured, restock on troops, make sure ships are repaired and refueled, and it's off to the next system.

But, I need to submit one bug report, just haven't had time. Apparently, in my game, I still have diplomacy options with dead civs. Also, the big portrait is replaced with a placeholder image (White box with red X through it). The game attempts to crash at that point, but "continue" seems to make the error go away. I can also still attempt to trade for techs at this point too iirc, but the only tech they had that I wanted was something like 1.7M and I'm not patient enough to click 170 times on "10000" credits. I suppose I COULD just trade them my techs. Not like they'd use them, right? [:D]
