Beaufighters vs. Mosquitos...which is better?

On the face of it, it appears the Mossie is a better plane, but the Beaufighter has an insane 6 hour endurance which allows it to spend 4 hours or so in intruder mode at German NF bases.

And the Beaufighter has 4 cannons and 4 machine guns!

Why bother with the Mossie?

In multiple words, the Mossie is faster and has better electronics than the Beau.

In 43 the Beau is the choice for NI, but later on the Beau is an easy prey for the better German NFs.

I'm not finding the Mossie's electronics giving it any adaptive advantage. MY Beaufighters have the lion's share of my night kills due to their superior loiter time.

Dig this: Not one kill by my Mossies or Beaus due to Radar/Visual/Serrate. Every Nachjager kill I've accomplished has been by shooting down the German planes as they are coming in for a landing. I think I've shot down **ONE** Me-110G by a Halifax. That is all.

The last turn I played I saw a large number of sightings/radar contacts of German planes by my Night Intruders in the bomber stream, but nothing ever comes of it.

Just an observation.

Tis a pitty, because the night fighting is far more interesting in my opinion to the day bombing.

The day bombing is great mind you, but the real art of the game is playing the night combat.
