Advisors won't shut up!

My advisers won't shut up about attacking everyone in sight, and it's getting annoying. I don't want to turn automation off -- amongst other things, they're really good at helping me notice when a friend has a trade sanction against them I might get lifted. And I think the military adviser, which I want on since I'm already at war, is probably responsible for half the spam.

The problem is they don't seem to comprehend the simple idea that only an idiot fights a war on two fronts, and only the heir to the kingdom of idiots fights a war on 8. With, of course, all my strongest opponents being the ones they want me to go to war with. SO I'd be facing about 4 times my empire's economy.

Now, the good news is that the one guy I'm at war with has had his economy collapse; apparently, having everyone in the galaxy declare war on him all at once wasn't something he was expecting. (I <3 diplomacy!)

Anyway, my annoyance stems from this: if I don't want to declare war, why would I want to break the trade agreement, and why do I get about 50 of these suggestions all at once? Why can't I tell them to JUST SHUT UP! Military advice on where to attack the guy I'm at war with, sure, random advice to attack everyone else... no thanks!
