Population Expansion

Post by 06 Maestro »

Does anyone know just how much more food that population over and above a province population limit costs? I understand that it costs more than population withing the starting limits, but just how much more? Twice as much? 3 times more?

Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies.

It grows exponentially.

1 level of men above threshold costs you 2 food (1 + 1); 2 levels above costs you 5 food (1 + 4); 3 levels above costs you 10 food (1 + 9). This can get out of hand very rapidly.

HiHi

Not overly sure how it works but 'Roads' are alleged to help with population growth, and there is always the ''Universal service' ? or somesuch that cuts the cost of any increase by 20% leastways that if I've understood it correctly [&:]

Yes a level of roads allows you 0.5 population over threshold, so every 2 levels means 1 point over (half doesn't give you a chance or anything you need both levels).

Universal service will do as you suggest Peter (cut your food bill by 20%) which is key for some countries.
