Invisible Giant Kaltors

I was happy, I just found this awesome graveyard of many, many ships, and all of them could be repaired by a constuction ship. The only problem was that there where like 10 Giant Kaltors guarding the ships. Not a big problem I thought, but when I went in to kill them all, there where invisible Kaltors tearing up my ships.

I could see the kaltors as triangles on the map, if I zoomed out, and if I had my fleet selected my cursor changed to the red aim marker. But there was no kaltor there and my ships could not attack it. There were 2 or 3 of these invisible mega kaltors and they were very good at killing everything that came near. I wanna know, bug or insidious game programmer baiting me with awesome repairable ships?
