Screen resolution for tracker? I don't know. I think 384x512 based on the parameters in my short cut (or maybe that is the bat file.)

Those numbers are memory settings. I think Damian is asking about your display's resolution.

Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

OK, I finally found the chart. I had not seen the button before because I resize the window to better fit my screen and the bottom of the industry/global screen usually doesn't show. Even now I can just barely see the top of the button because the rest of the tracker screen is hidden behind my windows bar at the bottom of the screen.

Proper resizing of tracker screens would be nice.

What I do is that when Tracker starts, I grab the top edge and resize it down. The I grab it by the top of the window and move it up. Then I resize it the way I want it. True, proper automated sizing would be nice.

I need a little more context to figure out where the issue is. Can you tell me the whole error (multiple lines)?

Thanks!

Hi guys, after my last boo-boo, I now have this error that I fixed by increasing both memory switches by 256m. I have 85 turns loaded. I tried doing a computer reboot and opened with no other programs running with no luck. Note that I normally have lots of programs running at the same time with no problems. This started with 1.5.1

Nomad -

Maybe 1.5 was right on the edge of the memory and 1.5.1 sent it over the top. I can't really explain it easily, since I didn't do any detailed memory modeling (clearly... [8|]).

Note that it doesn't seem to have any problems reading the data, but it runs out of memory when it tries to do the UI. Which does make your statement sound right because you keep adding new features. You might have to increase the mem switches on future releases( and I might go ahead and get Win 7 and an extra 8GB of RAM [8D]).

Ciao Andrea -

It appears to me that the save file itself has some issue. Are you sure the file you are loading is an AE save?

Floyd
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

I'd be thinking to delete the DB (delete all trackerdb*. files) and trying again ...

Editing the witptracker.properties file seems to have fixed it. Back to bug hunting...

Same game, a few more turns later and more out of memory errors. This one came up when I tried to load the next turn. Before I opened tracker I was using 495MB of memory and I have increased my allotments to 768MB and 1024MB

Hi Guys,

I am still using Tracker version 1.5. I just moved Witp-AE to a new computer, and I had just upgraded Tracker to version 1.5 before I switched. I now have played a game turn on my new computer - still using v 1.5. Everything seems to work so far, and Tracker read in my new played turn ok. However, I do see some errors being generated by my java screen (see below). As mentioned, I am not noticing any problems with Tracker yet, but should I be concerned with the errors I am seeing below and what are they trying to tell me? :)

Thanks again for all your great efforts!

Harmless. You'll see these errors if you move windows around while loading a turn. To eliminate stuff like this, show a "static" panel when loading a turn, such as Aircraft Comparison.

And you should use 1.5.1, since it fixes a few bugs and adds a few features.

Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

These memory issues are starting to stump me (like I have no clue on Nomad's issue). For your case, perhaps try increasing the memory values in the .bat file by 64 or 128 until it starts working again.

Sorry...

Maybe it might be an idea to try using an earlier JAVA version (like 17). Update 18 broke witpstaff. Update 19 has come out recently.
I think I have suggested how to run multiple copies of JRE on the same machine. You could in theory install under the tracker directory and point to it there.
