Manuals (.PDF)

Post by TheWombat_matrixforum »

No problems downloading, installing or running (yay!), and the AotD II scenario is indeed a very nice piece of work. I do have one question, though. From the launcher, the links for the manual and player's guide do...nothing. There is a "what's new" PDF in the folder it installs into, and that has the pertinent new rules and stuff, so it's not big deal, but just thought I'd pass it along. I don't know if anyone else has the same mini-issue.

Believe me, as long as the game works, I'm happy.

Thank you, we've verified this issue and I'm sorry this slipped through. I personally checked these game menu links in one of the near-final builds and they were working fine, but apparently the final QA on the very last build somehow did not catch whatever caused this bug. We're now re-checking it. Once we find the issue and fix it, we'll upload and updated installer to the store server. Those of you that downloaded the original release should then be able to go to www.findmyorder.com and re-download the updated one with the fixed manual link.

Please note that these documentation files are in the installation and are also accessible through the Start Menu "Across the Dnepr Second Edition" folder shortcuts.

For me this is an extremely minor issue.  I have the boxed version and the menu won't auto-launch Acrobat reader to view the manual(s).

Is there a place to fix this in the boxed version?  (I don't have the downloaded one) ... a file maybe?  I looked for something like an .ini file but found none (yet).

Its really a minor minor minor issue.  I just navigate to the Manual folder and launch the PDF's manually ... no pun intended (I think).

I think I'll bump this one.  Is there going to be a fix in a future patch for this?  I have the boxed version.

FWIW, I had to re-install KDotD / AtD2 and I went through each patch 1.10, 1.11 and 1.20 and all the previous versions had a menu that worked.

Like I said, its not a big deal for me.  I know how to get around it.  ...its kind of a polish issue
