Thank you Eric, Elliot, and Codeforce

Distant Worlds is a vast, pausable real-time, 4X space strategy game which models a "living galaxy" with incredible options for replayability and customizability. Experience the full depth and detail of large turn-based strategy games, but with the simplicity and ease of real-time, and on the scale of a massively-multiplayer online game. Now greatly enhanced with the new Universe release, which includes all four previous releases as well as the new Universe expansion!

I really just wanted to say thank you. Im not a typical fanboy for anyone but since space games died in the early 2000's alot of us have been asking for one thing in all of our space games, and no one until now has listened, immersion.

Thank you for not taking our intelligence for granted, the faceless majority of us know that the universe is comprised of stars, planets, moons, asteroid fields, nebula, black holes, , and many more wonderous things. The majority of games choose to show us these things in a format that is more amenable to game mechanics and much less so to immersion. You have taken the road less traveled and there are many of us who might be screaming at some of the bugs and game mechanics but were feeling like were in space, and we haven't been there in a long time.

No one thinks that a road should be vertical to the ground in an fps or that buildings should be made of cheese. But non orbiting planets in space games well immersion must suffer for mechanics of course! Again thank you for looking this mentality straight in the face and saying no more!

I'll probably be a big critic from this point forward but know that it comes from a place of love; I am dreaming of stars again at night.

Yes all the little things like the attention to detail with a star's solar effect down to it's sound, and blackholes as well.

Only heard about Distant Worlds a few days ago despite being a huge scifi/strategy fan and was immediately impressed by not only the game, but the support shown thus far. Stardock won me over for the way they treated their customers and I'm hoping Codeforce continues in that same philosophy. Great job!

Yep - joining in here. Great game. Visuals are excellent. Some nuances with the AI and automation, but I'm more willing to chalk that up to my inexperience with the game and the engine.

As for the visuals...they are amazing. Such a variation of planets. Moons circling round planets. Planets circling round their stars. The rumble of the star as you zoom in. I found my first black whole the other day and had a ship desperately try to break away....it didn't.

Great game. [&o]

I say thank you as well. I love this game. I am glad that I read that someone mentioned this game on another forum that I go on. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have herd about this since I live under a rock. [:)]

I to shall be critizing this game just because I love it so much, and want it to become better through patches, Free updates (please please please ) or through an expansion. I don't think I can wait for a sequal to have alot of these ideas given, to be implimented.
