Pilot training

Post by santino250 »

Hi All

How do you tell which pilots are in the training pool? or change them?

Hi Santino

I need to make sure I understand what you are asking before answering, because there isn't a training pool as such that I am aware of.

Do you mean the TRACOM pilots who are the staff of your pilot schools where the basic trainig takes place, or do you mean the pool of replacements or are you looking to train some already decent pilots up to top-gun status?

The only pool I am aware of is the replacement reserve pool...   I am wondering if ther is a basic training list, or an advanced training ?

Santino250, the training must be done manually, with the on map squadrons.

Am i to understand by this that TRACOM are the trainer officer? and the more you have the better training goes?

Santino.....the reserve pool and the replacement pool are two different things

Replacement pool is the pool of those who have been through a years worth of basic training. You can see how many you have in this and what their average experience is by opening pilot replacements in the info screen. You cannot get any more info about individual pilots because they don't really exist until they are pulled out of the replacement pool into a unit.

The reserve pool is the list of more experienced pilots who are currently inbetween assignments. These can be viewed most easily by going to any air unit and clicking 'request veteran' button. A full list of all the pilots in the nation and service, with all of their skills will appear (ie if you go to a USMC unit and use request veteran you will only see the list of USMC veterans not USAAF, US Navy etc. A list of all reserves together can be had by looking again on the pilot replacement screen, at the bottom for the reserve pool button. It does not give all the stats, just their experience.

Hope that helps.

deadmeat,

Goto the manual pages 59 and 259. That should clear up your questions.
