Japan loosing Political Points

Post by Stefan Reuter »

I have the second game now in which my (Japan) Political Points are set at the begin of April 1942 (the first few days each time!)to ZERO and no new points generating. Making it a "bit" hopeless for Japan....

Have someone else made the same experience? The support could not help so far.[&:]

You must be loosing political points for not withdrawing something, not that Japan has very much to withdraw! Go into the information page and check against your 'air units withdrawal table' or 'ships withdrawal table' to see if something is overdue and hasn't yet been withdrawn - if it needs to be you'll know (suggest you sort by date ie click on the date/month in yellow once or twice at the top to sort properly until you get the most imminent at the top)

xj900uk is correct. There are several Japanese air groups that are set to withdraw in early April 1942. If these are still in play, they will cost you a bunch of political points every turn.

It's a real shame the designers couldn't have arranged this so that the unit just withdrew automatically after giving you a message like:
"the xxx squadron is due to withdraw.  If you want to keep it , it will cost you xx pol. points every turn to do so.  (S)tay or (G)o?"  That would have been nice...

Well, the ops report does flag units which are scheduled to be removed that day or are overdue.

True..., but it would have been nice if it only required "player action" if the player wanted to expend "PP's", instead of constant player action to not expend them! There is more than enough minutia already...
