Galaxy backdrops

A couple of galaxy backgrounds I've been using. The zip contains 2 spirals, 1 barred-spiral and a nebula.

Backup the original file; Distant Worlds/images/envoronment/galaxybackdrops/galaxy_backdrop.jpg
Then place your desired galaxy into the above folder and rename to, galaxy_backdrop.jpg

And this is a close up of the Orion Nebula. I recommend playing this using an irregular galaxy.

Looks great and doesn't distract or make the in game stars hard to see, will definitely use them.

Yes, the first one actually looks like it can be playable in the game.

This sounds like a stupid question, but if I just rename galaxy_backdrop.jpg and not replace it, will there be no background? This is what I WANT to do, because I find it makes the systems hard to see...
