I might have a workaround for this...not sure if the garrison effects are appropriate ...but I guess it could be considered rioting by a frightened populace

More like defending the local talent from Marines on I&I. [8D]

IRL, 1st Div was a training formation based in Sydney and where the "underage" recruits were posted. Units in West Oz were defending against an Invasion well into 1943, 1st Armoured & 2nd Div were here well beyond any threat to the area.

I think I can modify the Southern Australia Invasion "Emergency Convoy" such that it includes some non-static devices...that would be used to upgrade static devices...just like Andy did for some of the Indian Brigades....

So if you can provide me a list of units ...I can make the changes and lock them in place...

In another thread there were some conversations about AF support. Want to look at that in your mod? I have some resources that will help with some of the AAF support unit names, TO&E will be challenging but with a little creative licenses who knows.

That may be a bit more to chew off than what I want to do...I do know that JWE has looked at the AV Sup / Base Force situation for the Japanese and is implementing some changes for DaBigBabes in that regard...I may take a look at some of his public and private posts and see what if anything I might be able to easily transport into Treespider's mod....

If anything I may rework the way HQ's are handled and introduce independent support units that are assigned to the HQ's ...but that may have to wait for the future as well...

Hot off the presses....v1 of Treespiders Mod.....Scenario 30

Requires a separate install of AE as there is a new map data file.

Changes include:

1. Temporary Restrictions of the Kwantung Army and Air Force

2. Reworking of airbase SPS values...airbase exansion will now be slower and BIG bases fewer.

3. Addition of numerous bases to China as well as changes to the garrison requirements for both the Chinese and the Japanese

4. Malayan Army adjustments

5. Addition of Dutch Garrison requirements

6. Map data adjustment to the straights near Singapore...TF now have to route through Singapore to gain access to the Malacca Straights...or risk treacherouse waters closer to the coast of Sumatra(Reef classification)

7. Tweak to Land Based Radar values...

8. Minor adjustment to Bombers with forward firing .50 cal starfing packages...

Will have to add in three separate packages...

1st Attachment is the SCEN files...unzip into the Scen folder

EDIT: Grr ---forgot to delete a test unit in the location file....attachment updated.

GRRRR # 2 - forgot to update a few airgroups weapons to reflect changes in weapons suite...Corrected.

GRRRR - forgot to delete a test unit in the location file in the SCEN package, file above has been updated...

I already caught one error – I forgot to delete location #9….to do so manually:
1. open the editor
2. Click File, Open Scenario
3. Select Scenario 30
4. Click Location tab
5. Select Location 15 – It is blank.
6. Click the Copy button underneath the list of locations.
7. Select Location 9 – Kwantung (temp)
8. Click Paste
9. Click File, Click Save Scenario.

Version 1.1 Complete

- Merged Da Babe's Lite Device data with my few data tweaks
- Updated the Kwantung Army Air Restrictions - using withdraw/return suggested by TimTom
- Included JeffK's suggested Australian restrictions by adding some Allied Gar Req to Perth, Melbourne, Sydney (area), Brisbane
- EDIT: Correction to Base 1408...added 1 to SPS.

Will attach updated SCEN files here...

Version 1.2 Update

- Backed out original adjustsments to bomber with forward firing .50 cal packages.
- Updated all aircraft to reflect normalization of weapons suites...

Example Hurricane IIB normally armed with x12 - .303 Browning MG...now armed with x2 - .303 Brown.MG (6) -- will have a slight impact on weapons interaction with code.

Kudos to treespider on a fine acheivement, adding some interesting twists. In fact I am using your mod as a test bed trying out some other ideas and some number crunching.

Just wondering if anyone has played this mod yet far enough into 1942 to see if teh AI is having any problems with the extra dot bases in China and Burma.

BTW, this mod is awesome. Kudos to Treespider

FYI the "extra bases" in Burma have yet to be added...hoping to get to work on them this week...

However a number of items "broke" at my home this weekend when I was away...and they will require attention before the mod...namely my home internet connection is down awaiting the service man...

Now that I have some time and decided to return... I'm going to go back through and take a re-look at this and see what,if anything, I would like to combine with DaBigBabes Mod.
