I have question. People can seemingly join games I host...but then when I launch CoI I'm not seeing them join up. Am I missing a step or anything like that?

The manual does a very poor job of explaining everything related to MMCC3.

Mea Culpa... [:(] Sorry. I'd be happy to try and correct the deficiencies if you can assist and suggest what is needed.

Andrew - XP here and I'm on BHQ now. I can hang out there for another 30-40 minutes.

VonB -

Wasn't trying to be insulting...it's just that the manual does a good job of giving one the basic setup, however it needs more step-by-step procedures. For example, for a single player server, how one sets that up, how one then runs the MP client to connect to the server in order to start playing.

Or the step-by-step setting up a multiplayer game. The window where I kept hitting ok is clear once you've had it explained to you, otherwise novice users will almost always just hit ok.

The procedure for how to get a game going once players meet up on MMCC3, etc.

Things like that would greatly help the novice user. Otherwise it's more trial and error than anything.

I keep getting to the point when I'm launching the game and hosting an MP match, but my opponent never joins. What am I doing wrong?

Whenever I try to join a game I almost always get the java error and I have all ports forwarded. Not sure what to do.

Absolutely no insult taken. And if the manual is inadequate, then it should be improved. Maybe I can team up with you this weekend sometime and go over the issues? If I go through some connectivity with you doing MP sessions with MMCCIII, I can take notes and make an update, or something like that. It's a long time since I did any H2H games using MMCCIII...

I appreciate you pointing it out.

Not a problem. I'll be on Hamachi today and I'm free the rest of today. I'm in GMT -5 (east coast USA) but I'll keep checking here so we can organize a time/method of chat.

Andrew - 1.04S is what it says.

Also wanted to note....

No response from the Help Desk yet about my last MMCC3 complaint with the servers...

Difficult to nail a day and time right now. Best window of opportunity for me is probably over this weekend sometime. I don't do Hamachi, but suggest Battle HQ. What time woud you be free from on Saturday?

That should make it around 4pm my time. Early evening looks best for me, say 8pm (3pm for you). If I have to change that, I'll pop a message here. You can also drop me a line at vonb@closecombat.ie

I'll be online and available for huge chunks of time today. I'll be home about 12pm GMT -5. I'll probably jump on MMCC3 around 2pm GMT -5, maybe sooner depending on how much I get done.

Got another update from Heath.

They are taking the matter seriously, but they don't have a timetable for when a fix may be ready. It sounded sincere but who knows. Hopefully it is.
