Review, load screen ideas?

Post by m10bob »

Three years ago I began this thread supporting ideas for custom "load screens", but they might be used for scenario screens as well?

That's a good photo. Banking left or right does not look like an option for Bettys flying that low to the water. [X(]

They had to get to the height of that middle one to drop the torp or it would not arm, and the splash might have brought the plane down?

Didn't someone ask a while back about making some pin-up girl backdrops? I saw the discussion about how 'family friendly' they could be. I never saw a finished product. It would be nice to have something like that, though.

Let's hope it's stainless steel, or missions like these could get a serious rust problem going.

Thanks Daryl. The file is a .rar file. I don't know how to install it. Does anyone know how to use the mod?

Thanks, Brad

A .rar file is simply an archive file similar to a .zip file but uses a different (and supposedly better) compression algorithm. You just need to download an appropriate decompression utility and extract the files from the "Photo Pinup Mod.rar" archive.

The utility I use is TUGZip and can be gotten from http://www.tugzip.com/ though there are other utilities around. TUGZip is good as it handles a number of archive formats including .rar and .zip files.

I haven't actually looked at this mod but I assume installation will simply to uncompress the files from the archive into into the game "ART" folder. It would be advisable to either re-name or save the files that will be overwritten before you do this. This is so you can restore the original files if you ever need to. These files are listed in the preview link on Spookie's site.

Best of luck......

Cheers,
Reg.

Thanks Reg. I know how to use .zip files, so I can probably handle the rest once I download the utility.

Thanks again!
