Where do you unzip mod files?

Post by Knavery »

Hey guys,
I've read a lot about mods that people are creating, but I can't find a thread on where to unzip them. I'm also curious if you can use more than one mod at a time? If not, which is the consensus on the best looking map and units? Thanks!

Hey guys,
I found out how to do it. Looks like a folder is created or each one. Looks really good!

You are right. Each graphical mod should be placed in data/gfx folder with name starting with either "[MapSkin]" or "[UnitsSkin]", depending what type of skin it is. Game should then detect it automatically when entering preferences menu (you don't even need to close the game).
Of course you can also change or create new scenarios (data/scenarios/...), design whole new GUI (graphics and components placement/size; data/gfx/GUI.png and data/GUI_<width>x<height>.csv), and in fact each other game graphic element.

I really like how open-ended you guys made this game. I may get into modding myself. I have NO experience with it, but it certainly would be fun to learn.
