So what you are saying is, Pearl Harbor was a marvelously made movie, with a great love scene and historically accurate?

Or the kidd class guided missile destroyers, or Nuclear powered carriers, so amazingly historical, I give it 5 stars.

Windtalkers was entertaining any way.
BTW, my wife likes Pearl Harbor she says the focus is more on the lives of those people than the war.

What about Thin Red Line? I think I got bored with that move.

Like getting a cavity drill. Is it over yet? Not as bad as The Empire of the Sun

Letters from Iwo Jima was good and disturbing.

Which is not the impression Hollywood wanted to show for many years during or after WWII. To them the 'nips' were devil-like monsters devoid of feeling and compassion that deservedt o be treated like vermin.
Amazing it took this long for a leading Hollywood producer (Clint Eastwood) to actually make a decent & accurate movie about the IJA and their viewpoint on the war.

I couldn't stand Thin Red Line; the whole movie I kept thinking "why are these soldiers with Vietnam-era attitudes doing on Guadalcanal?".

Letters was very good. Even GF unit liked.....very strong acting in it and of course Clint is god whether in front of or behind the camera. [:D]

Still need to see Flag of our Fathers. While only loosely war related....recently saw Inglorious Bastards and was suprised to find out that it bored me to tears. Not what i was expecting from Sir Quinten.

Letters is by far a superior film. as to Inglorious, if you take it as it is, ie a piss take, its quite palatable. What a shame that such detail and research went into uniforms for such a film. The SS Colonel would be better suited to a film the calibre of Schindler's List such is his performance.

I was expecting over the time gratuitous violence and crude guy humor.

I got more entertainment out of Zombieland. [:D]

AGGGGHHHHH! NOOOO! A co-worker told me to watch this movie. After 25 minutes I gave up... It's a Tarantino's movie but made for TEENS. This says it all [8|] The Norwegian Dead Snow movie at least had some horror and fun [8D]

Cantona, the two movies you mention should be avoided at all cost!

interesting flick...all i could think of while watching was "hey, there's that guy from The Office...what's he doing in this movie?"
Kirk Lazarus: I know who I am. I'm the dude playin' the dude, disguised as another dude!
Ron Swanson: Clear alcohols are for rich women on diets.
