If any one has some favortie or custom mech say it here! If custom if you dont mind could you post the stats? Or if posible (dont know) post the file? Not sure about that though. I just started so you could consider me as a newbie... :) Also is it posible to play TOS over the internet like someone in Texas playing a person in New York?

Yes to internet play :)

1st you need ICQ (my # is 143948813, mention ToS) then you get together with someone who wants to play and one player hosts. To host select netgame, type in your gaming handle on the 1st line and then select "create" game. If you are playing you type in the hosts IP address on the second line and select "join" game. The host will see your gaming name and IP address and will click on accept. The host then has a list of options to use just as in a hotseat game.
Common conventions amongst ourselves are small, random arena with pilot level set to "elite" (level 6) the reason for this is twofold. A: with pilots set to "Champion" there's not much risk/skill/luck involved in a duel. B: if the AI is used to flesh out the numbers (say 3 players with one partnered with the AI) the AI is set 2 skill levels higher than the humans. I personally tend to do most of my dueling with assaults or tiny teams (though recons in hell is fun too). My reasoning is that an assault titan gives you a certain amount of forgiveness of mistakes. In a recon/light duel your 1st mistake is also your last mistake.

As for titan design, the game is driven by heat. It doesn't matter how many shiny new bang sticks you cram into your assault if it takes you two weeks to cool down after firing them. I tend to pick a single weapon type for my main battery and fit in a couple of secondary weapons as weight and space allow. An (in)famous example of this design approach is my Mugger. It has 3 AC20s (RA/LA/CT) with LLs in the legs (fire.......ooh........pretty). All of my Assault designs have Heat A regulators. The torso's hold my electronics suite. engine is mounted in CBT. All of my assaults have jump 6 (being able to jump over acid is better than being able to jump into acid).
This design gives me a lot of flexibility I can switch the AC20s for Gauss Cannons or AC12s or a combination. What makes the Mugger a good dueling titan is that if you fire only on heat black you wind up firing one AC20 every 7 seconds which has been known to discourage the Riff Raff (ie:PC) on more than one occasion. Somehow people just don't like charging AC20s (sigh). By the way with 1.4 taking life 6 in an assault is not overkill. It seems that there are some low and evil sorts (looks around to make sure that no one's watching) who have been known to put 2-4 NBs in an assault. Having your pilot die when all of your armor is still green can be........frustrating. Of course you understand that I would Never... stoop to such tactics :)

Hope that this is of some assistance.

And people ask me why I only use Cyborg and Android pilots.

Replicants will just about keel over and die the moment they even see a Neutron Blaster =P

For a good design, go check out my Bait MkIV on the 'Improve Home Made Titan' yadayada thread.

I am in the process of establishing a reputation for having M4d 5k1llz in the factory, and hope one day one of my designs will make it into Warring Suns.

Right now, the Bait series is my personal favourite, but I do not hesitate to take requests.

Anyway, I must be off to work on the Fuscia MkII.
