Japanese LCUs Attached to Commands Not Available

Post by ny59giants »

There are three "potential" Special BF (23, 24, 32) that start broken down as a Port Unit and Nav Gd. Each is assigned to Southern Fleet, Southwest Area Fleet, or Combined Fleet. None of these three "Fleets" are included in the pull down to be able to switched to. Thus, to actually recombine these into their parent unit would require spending PPs to change commands for each of the sub units. How are other Japanese players handling this?? Are you paying the PP price or leaving them as is??

I am keeping the units together, but not spending the PP until a more opportune time. I think I have spent the PP on one of those guys so far, but for the others, they are staying uncombined for now. Eventually, I imagine I will pay the PP.

When it routinely costs 15 PPs to replace a 1st Lt who happens to command a fighter squadron with a bird Colonel or to have an Admiral assume command of a TF it is a bit hard to rationalize the whole system of PPs.
