I"m not aware of a thread or post, although I'm sure threads and posts are out there.

I can explain each generally.

Variable Visibilty means the visibility of the scenario can change while you are playing the scenario.  For example, if the visibility is set at 10 at the start of the scenario, there's a chance it will go up or down each turn or each half-turn (I'm not sure which).  At some point, visibility might eventually drop to 6 or lower or go up as high as 14 or higher.  It doesn't necessarily change every time.  I don't know what the odds are.  It changes only one step at a time.

Extreme Assault makes assaulting more difficult.  The regular assault rules favored the assaulting side.  The Extreme Assault rules make assaulting more difficult.

There are some docs and pdfs in the manuals folder that help explain these.
Conflict of Heroes "Most games are like checkers or chess and some have dice and cards involved too. This game plays like checkers but you think like chess and the dice and cards can change everything in real time."

You'd probably have to go back to threads that started in late 2007 or early 2008 to find any discussion.  Some thought it was like finding a pearl in an oyster.  Others thought it was like finding a turd in a punchbowl.  The solution was to allow the players to opt in or out of them.

Variable Visibility = [>:]

EA = [&:]

If you ask me they are not good for the game, especially the scenarios created before their addition, but, some folks like them.

I'll play with the girls then.

Who will you be playing with?
Or, what? [8|]

Maybe a good West Front scenario design, where it could be used, would help? [:'(]

I enjoyed Huib's post too.

On the other hand, playing with girls has its perks.
