Looking for development data, particularly the timeline on this. I have most of my books still packed after a move and so cannot get at my sources. I seem to recall work started on this in '39.

Any info would be appreciated.

Appreciate any further info ....  particularly if anyone has any info on IJA picking up M2's from Chinese use in the 33- 41 timeframe for R&D ....
