Japanese Opponent for Scenario One wanted

Post by matt.buttsworth »

Hello Everyone,

I am a limited experienced AE player, having played a number of games of WITP and playing one game of AE at present, who wants a Japanese opponent for scenario 1 one day turns. Newby or player with limited or medium experience preferred. I can play one turn a day and would want to play game to completion. No quiters wanted.

I would want a non-gamey, sporting game with some flexibility, discussing with opponent any problems that may arise.

Suggested House rules

1 - Non-Historical First turn.
2 - Allies can move Chinese units on first turn, nothing else.
3 - Japanese can launch one first strike.
4 - Player defined upgrades for planes.
5 - Allies must use political points to move Chinese forces out of theatre. Japan must use political points to move Japanese forces out of Korea or China.
6 - No strategic bombing by Japanese in China
7 - No use of 4 engine bombers below 10,000 feet on naval attack missions.
8 - No sub invasions.
9 - No use of portions of parachute units to seize squares.
10 - Units blocking retreats must be of realistic size (brigade or above)

Other house rules can be discussed or negotiated.
Good luck. Send PM or message here.

I would be interested, but, only if playing 2 day turns.  I have a good deal of experience with PBEM as Japanese but prefer a relatively historical game, so, in all likelihood you won't see me dancing in Wellington with Tojo...

Any chance you can play multiple turns in a day then?

With work commitments and a baby gaming I would have to say no.
I am a one turn a day man with more when I have time on weekend.

You have mail
One of the serious problems in planning the fight against American doctrine.... is that the Americans do not read their manuals, nor do they feel any obligation to follow their doctrine
