locating units

Post by bo »

In the upcoming MWIF game will there be a page with all your units on it and where they are? For example I want to find my amphibus craft instead of looking in every controled port it would be great if I could go to a page of units find the landing craft click on it and go to that spot or port. If it is not included then I am sorry for bringing it up Steve[:D]

CWIF has this feature. You press Ctrl-U to bring up the units form. On that form there is a filter button. On the filter form you can select your units (by major power) and on-map units. Exiting the filter form, returns you to the Units form which has now been reduced to just your units on the map. Clicking on any unit centers the map on that unit.

It works the same way in MWIF - I have made these two forms somewhat prettier and added some content, but the mechanics were fine as they are in CWIF, so I saw no reason to change them.

I changed many of the shortcuts for MWIF (Ctrl U I left as it was). At this point I have no idea what the original ones were/are.

I think there is a TXT file with the CWIF program that describes the keyboard and mouse moves. At least there use to be one with the version I received when I started work on MWIF.
