You might take a look at JuanG's Alt WNT mods. They involve extensive modding to both sides.

I'm doing some work on a combination of some of Juan's ideas mixed with some of my own alt hist favorites, and employing a lot of the Babes extras.. I've also thrown some of the precepts talked about in Alikchi's Iron Storm from the WitP Mk 3 mod whatever the last version was.. I don't know enough about the IJA to be very conversant in that area, but I have included some updates and expansions in the IJN in the work as well. Still not completely satisfied, but it is ongoing.

We're adding some to the Allies (reflecting a stronger Japan becoming apparent on Dec 7th) in the Mark Two of Reluctant Admiral.

I think I've heard something about a BritMod being in progress, made by Red Lancer, but AFAIK nothing has been released as of yet.
The AE-Wiki, help fill it out

Do you have any info on the Free French naval air detachment(s) in the Pacific? I know there was one at Tahiti (2 CAMS 55??) but I think it disbanded prior to December 7th, 1941. I've also heard a couple of references to a similar unit at Noumea...

Other than the handful of Vichy Escadrille in Indochina and Madagascar there were no other organized French air units, Vichy or otherwise, in the Far East or the Pacific to the best of my knowledge. There was an offshore patrol unit of float planes/flying boats in Tahiti in 1939 (Esc. 8S5 w/1 x CAMS 37 and 2 x CAMS 55??), which is the one you are referring to, but no mention after 1941. The colonial sloops also carried a float plane, either a Gourdou-Leseurre 832 or Potez 452.

A Wiki article states that twenty-nine CAMS 55 remained in service at the outbreak of World War II, with the last examples serving with Escadrille 20S in Tahiti until January 1941. Likely they were grounded due to lack of spare parts. CAMS 37/11 trainers continued in use with a Free French unit in Tahiti until 15 January 1941.

One CAMS 55 was in active service until October 42. No air unit on Noumea as far as i know.
