Progress

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Hi all,

Last night we submitted our latest build 4.0.225 to Matrix so they can prepare the first final candidate installer build. If this passes muster we will sign off and the game will enter production and should be released in a week or so. However, if previous experience is any guide there will be a few minor glitches to resolve and we'll probably have to do a second final candidate before signing off.

So we're very close now. [:)]

OMG. Iam so excited that I just wet my pants [:)]

Hi all,

Saturday morning in Canberra again sees me doing another BFTB build. We encountered some issues that needed to be addressed during the week. The main one being the need to have different file extensions to those used for COTA. Otherwise BFTB clobbers the file associations for COTA when you have them both installed - not good. So this has seen a major conversion. I've finished converting all code and game files. Once I put out a new beta build today, I'll be updateing the manuals and then doing a release build for Matrix to work up what we hope will be the final candidate.

With the release getting near, any word on potential price of the game? I'm sure whatever it will be, it will be worth it, but still might have to convince the wife:)

No, no, no. You gotta know HOW to ask these things.

I have $150 in my games account. Every day that BftB isn't here I spend $10 of it on beer. Will I still have enough money in my account to buy BftB on release day?

Matrix have worked up the installer and we're testing the installer right now. Well some of us are. I'm still waiting to download it.

One testerr has reported back that it's looking good. Fingers crossed we may be able to sign off on Monday morning.

That is excellent news. Keeping my fingers crossed that we are getting close to the finish line. With a 3-day weekend coming up, I'm hoping it makes it out by then.
