Detailed combat reporting

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Seems you need to take a look at your city garrisons, you seem to have a serious partisan problem, even though the VVS isn't resupplying them it seems.

Being "in red" (OOS) is normal state for partisans, so you can't say from that how well they have been supplied.

that is a every week issue, every week you got to go hunt them down

(hassle is, the hunters are the garrisons, so if you have to leave the city, you add to the hassle)

well, been a few turns since I posted

so 3 weeks later, and I reach my goal !

the last port in the north is taken, the Fins are Freed (of course, the hassle there is, the no attack line is still in force, so the Fins over there can cross the Axis controlled hex, they still can not attack (but they can defend and take some pressure off of my troops)

the Fins are Freed !!!!

and what taking the ports mean

and a little to the south, you see the hassle the Russian is having, easy to say it should of done this or that, but they are under pressure all up and down the line, so not easy to do that which needs to be done

the pockets were good, but, most of the units were way understrength

if they had been full, it may of been 3 times the losses !

of course, to be honest, if they were full, my losses would of been much higher, and the chances of forming the pockets would of been much lower

(there has been a lot of shifting on the fronts, I shift, the Russian shifts, then I shift back to where I planned, and the Russian is a day slow in getting back, and I am able to hit the weak points, find enough weak points and you will force gaps, forces gaps, you got to get pockets)

took a lot of battles and losses, but I drove them out, which that was the main force in that pocket, the rest is simi mop up

which oddly, as good as it looks, I have only picked up 4 points towards victory, this turn, I got another 5

going to be a long war

Are the T34's automatically upgraded to German standards over time as the Panzer 747(r), or would the modifications the Germans made have such a limited effect in game terms that the captured examples have the same stats as a regular T34 of the year it was produced in?

I don't think we modeled the German "used" ones, you get what you capture, and may use it for a little bit (you are not going to field 100's of Russian Tanks)

you are much more likely, to put guns to work for you, then AFVs

dang, twice now, my screen capture program has quit in the middle of the turn, taking the snaps I had not saved yet

(new update says it had a major bug with the last release !)

but, here is where I am at, so close, but MUD has showed up, and has really put a hurt on me (all those Airfields were so close, I could just hear the sounds of my treads crushing there lousy little wings !)

The sheer amount of air and HQ units make that screenshot look kind of glitchy.
