Jutland 1916

This revised and updated turn-based grand strategy game from the team at AGEOD brings players back to World War I, including both the Eastern and Western fronts and over 4 campaigns and 10 scenarios. As either a member of the Central Powers, the Entente or a neutral nation, players will confront the epic gauntlet of military and political challenges that faced the likes of Kitchener, Joffre, Luddendorf, Clemenceau, Czar Nicholas II or Enver Pasha.

Jutland 1916

Post by robertjgowans »

Hello All,
Just bought this game and trying to understand how to play it. Have encountered a problem someone out there might be able to help me over come.
Jutland 1916 scenario playing as Germany - how do you start as I keep getting the message I am not the active player and nothing further seems to happen. I cannot access the move to next turn botton. What should I be doing?
Grateful for any help, RJG

Have you attempted to press the F9 button which activates the A.I.'s turn?

Hello Marcus,
Yes have pressed F9 but still nothing - do I have to manage my forces?. Or click and drag on anything? Game says GB not active - seems I'm waiting on the Hun to do something. Any ideas anyone?

Have just tried Jutland from both sides and it worked ok RJG. Sorry I can't help with your specific problem.

German side. Moved ships to the Bight and through some canal to the sea. Sea battle commenced. Got my admiral killed and 8 ships damaged v 8 British ships damaged and was declared victorious.

British side. Moved ships out into Dogger Bank and from the far north out into the sea. Sea battle commenced. Took heavy casualties but forced the Germans to retreat. German was declared victorious.

1) Read and close any event dialog (newspaper)

2) If the event dialog requires a choice (it's highlighted when you move the mouse cursor over the choice box), select it, thus the event dialog can be closed

3) Un-pause AI (Pause or F9 key)

4) Now click on the "New Turn" button (white calendar looking).

That's all......
