Printed Manual/Give credit where it's due...

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Printed Manual/Give credit where it's due...

Post by TheHellPatrol »

My personal tribute to the guys who made this game:

Trip to Office Depot...$6.00 in gas.
Price for full-color print job, two sided, with acrylic(?) covers...$153.00
Command Ops:Battles from the Bulge...priceless.

I'll ask out of morbid curiousity...
Does it have many colour illustrations besides the cover and the game logos?

The Hell Patrol,

They printed your manual upside down! [:)]

Just joking. I should probably print the manual too.

$250 for what should be a $50 game? No wonder the worlds economy is crashing. This is how governments spend. Oh well, enjoy the game.[8|]

[:D]The real crime was it took only 17 minutes...like butter!

Yes, there are quite a few battlefield pictures, almost every page.

Now then listen to this:

Petrol for the trip to the office (where I had to go anyway) - 3 Euros
Full color print job on the office laserprinter - 0 Euros
Get our apprentice to punch holes into the pages - 0 Euros
Send apprentice to buy covers - 0,99 cent

Total 3,99 Euros.

We dont have golden paper, but we have cheap labor and relaxed office rules.

Bye for now

You paid $153.00 to print a manual for a $80.00-$90.00 game? You must have money to just toss around, because to me that's one of the craziest things I've run across in a while. Well, I hope you find the game enjoyable.

I printed it for free at work too. 50 b/w double-sided pages a day to keep it "under the radar". [;)]

He he he ... day after day I am reading stories of people whose Web lives get them into trouble in their real life or office. You should keep it to yourself.

Anyway, I can print on the color laser whenever I want, but then I own the business. :)

But it wasn't worth printing these docs as for the most part I know them too well and only need to look up something here or there while playing.
