Orders not working?

Ok played the game looks quite good! PLayed for about 2 hours had a crash no big deal. Rebooted and now I can't seem to give any orders? Tried the save game and the autosave no joy. Then I tried a new scenario same problem.I can click on the order buttons but when I try to place the location on the map for that particular order nothing shows on the map? Any ideas. Did I do something?
Should I re-install you think?

Playing around with this some more. Seems every order I give doesn't show on the map and shortly thereafter I get a message say XXX unit could not complete the order? Any idea what that is about. I played a solid 2 hours with the game and had no problems issues numerous orders. hmmmm

Have you changed the display settings at the bottom of the map on the display toolbar. This is something one of our beta testers did recently - ie had hit the orders and game tasks display buttons ( not mentioning any names, James [;)] ).

ok the orders are getting through it seems just can't see any way points. I guess is there some where I may have turned these off?

ETF -- the button you are looking for is at the middle of the bottom of the screen, outlined in red below:





Edit: Honestly, until you're sure of yourself, I'd keep all of those buttons selected -- show the ground scale (kilometer grid), units, destroyed units, tasks, and subtasks.
