This vs WITP: AE

Post by OnTheContrary »

The title of the thread says it all: how does this compare to WITP: AE? Obviously, the second game will be much more detailed, but also costs approximately twice as much and takes forever to play. That's all nice and dandy, but with HTTR and Bulge, I don't have the time to crunch 300+ pages of manual.

So, how much detailed is this? What is the replayability? And a question to those in the beta - how much fun is this?

Thanks!

See my AAR for an idea on complexity. It's immensely fun as far as I'm concerned.

Replayability: Many, many different options for the campaign game, different strategic choices to make. And then there are the scenarios.

Detail level strikes a nice balance between that of WITP:AE and Commander series, I think. It's a bit more detailed and more interesting than Strategic Command, in my opinion.

Download and play the demo for WWII:Time of Wrathe if you want a general idea of the feel of this game, with of course the major exception that the naval game has been entirely revamped and upgraded in this game.
