H2H or Enhanced or 8.403?

I am confused. I see three versions available: H2H, Enhanced (English or native language) and the standard game patched to 8.403.

Would someone please summarize the distinctions? (I recognize the enhanced English version gives me units using english words to describe them and the Native Language versions will use words from the unit's language. However, I do not know the differences among the three main "flavors".)

8.403 is just the latest version of standard SP:WAW
The standard version of SP:WAW over the years become more and more filled with errors as many different groups worked on the game, but apparently, did not coordinate between each other, nor did they coordinate with the code writers.
Hence they just started adding stats and ratings, and all kinds of the things the game code was never meant to use. and many units and weapons from nation to nation all became skewed..we found a corrected hundreds if not thousands of things in Enhanced.

SP:WAW Enhanced, which also uses the 8.403 mech, was done by group of guys, some which remain to this day, others have gone on to other things, who attempted to 'clean' the game up, fix the errors, and get the game back to what it was intended to be, along with 'Enhancing" it...we also had the games original code writer in on the process..it was almost, a total redo of the game.

H2H was a mod done some years ago by a fellow named Panzer Leo. It was meant to be a Human vs Human mod for the most part.
It was/is a very good mod, as some have now updated it to use the 8.403 Mech.exe, where previously it was using the version 7.1 Mech. H2H was limited to mainly concentrating on the major nations IIRC, I may be wrong about that but thats what I recall.

My opponent and I have been playing 8.403. It has been a great run of grand play-by-Internet games.

Based on your information, I think it is time for us to switch to the enhanced version that is about to be announced.

Enhanced is really the only way to go IMO.  great job Alby!!
