Campaign Game

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Campaign Game

Does this have a Grand Campaign Game feature or is it just a collection of Scenarios ?

I don't have it but my understanding is that it's a collection of scenarios - like the previous games in the series.

The campaign side of things has been asked for many times before. Unfortunately we don't have PC's powerfull enough at the moment to make a campaign game. The slowdown would be horrific.

That was my take on it though I may be mistaken.

That is a real shame because a campaign game of this operation would be a huge selling point. I can see how system requirements to run it might be off the charts.

That is because for this type of game, a killer campaign will use the same engine, bigger map, more troops, and will last for a month or more in accellerated real time.

You can get away with linked single scenarios that carry over stats of your troops and positions in maps like in Close Combat. And there's nothing in the game engine to make linking scenarios possible. But I think the best way to simulate a campaign is just to create single a huge scenario.

I hope someone tries to make a massive battle that will last for weeks using the editor . I will call that a campaign.

There's a two week scenario included. It's the "Spearhead v. Reich" scenario. It's quite good.

Good to hear!
That's already a campaign for some other games' standards!!!
Why ask for linked scenarios when this is more realistic?

I guess a grand campaign would be the whole battle that lasts for months. But as they say, that will slow down the game with current techology.

The only problem with large scenarios at the moment is that reinforcements of units on map doesn't happen at the moment. This is a feature thats been requested. No harm in asking for it again in the feature request sticky though.
