Depressed

Post by gre81 »

Well the new game is out and I don't have the extra cash for it. My desktop computer crashed last month which had my COTA game on it. I thought since I had backed it up on cd's it would be no problem reinstalling game. Little did I know that none of my games went to the cds. I thought no problem I will just download again. What-no link. What do you mean it has been over 2 years since purchase. So now I am depressed. No money for new game and COTA is gone.

Well that was the response I got. They only keep a record of your download for 2 years. Stupid me-I put all my other games on my laptop but not COTA.

Thats what I did-I get a message that my order was not found. I then contacted support and that is what they told me.

I don't remember which card it was. My daughter purchased it for me. I have tried her numbers but none work. I do have the serial number for the game. I thought with my email they could look it up. This is the response I received.

If you have purchased your game and the extended download option OVER 2 years ago your download file is no longer available as we are only able to keep a backup copy of your digital file for a maximum of 2 year(s) after the date of purchase. If you did NOT purchase the extended download option then your game is only available for a maximum of 30 days from the original date of purchase.

No I don't. I saved it on my other computer. Maybe I should search thru the backup disks for a copy of that email.

Well after investigating I downloaded on 11 June 2008. If I cant find my order number, do you think they would be able to look it up using my email?

They might be able to if you give all the details, they might be able to tell you your order number at least. Or half way there then.

Hope you get it sorted out.
