Perhaps with the historical beggining the Wake forces are a bit limited...

The Boise has been a susprise. She has been hidden for 5 days, while Houston and the others ships had been "obviously" fleeing.

Today she has sank another four AKs. Seidlyts disembark at Morotai with no escorts at all and it was a party for my gunners...

Boise strikes again:

The disembark at Morotai has been really costly to the Japanese. Two or three more things like that and...

The SS KXVII is having a good performance too:

( SUNK!!)

( one torpedo, reported as sunk. FOW? )
On the other side, the fleeing of TKs from Borneo and Singapur is resulting a failure:

This is the third TK I lost in two days... [:o]

REPORTS OF 13/12/41

Several xAKs and TKs sunk by japanese submarines: xAKL Halldor, xAK Demodocus, xAK Benneveris, TK Hagood, plus one british TK.

Besides DD Ward, AM Lark, AVD Childs, PG Isabel, and AM Whipoorwill has been sunk. The first by the SS I-15.

My ASW TF at East of Hawai are too much weak. They'll come back home to reorganize, retraining, and wait to an umbrella of Cats and Bolos, to improve their performance.

On the bright side, the SS S-40 has sunk the xAK Ryoyo Maru with one torpedo.

Image

The FF on Philippines has began an administrative reassingment ( change HQ via P.P. ): They will join the 10th USAAF. But first, Soerabaja will be it's place of training and rest for a while.

CHINA

Ichang is about to fall !! Several Chinese Corps have launched a successful attack and dropped the fortifications to level2. More attacks tomorrows. Casualities are not a trouble. We have more chinese troops, after all.

Image

INTEL WARNING: One LCU at Manchuria has signaled it's next target is VOROSHILOV. Several warnings have been sent to Uncle Joe. Perhaps Seydlit wants to try another attack to the URSS? Za rodinu !!!

5 .- If the Japanese player decides that he wants to attack the Soviet Union he will previously invade Soviet territory in any hexagon without provoking any attack, causing the activation of Soviet forces. The war may be caused but will not count on with the surprise factor.
Remember H.R, 3.2 (point 5), soviets will not be surprised .. That´s a great factor.. I think it is not a good idea for the japanese player.
Good luck and best of wishes

The 14th and 15th, December can be described as War in the Pacific:Submarine Warfare.

Not a lot of action over the waves, but under them..

14th:

xAKL Elout, sunk by I-156.

KXI put a torpedo at xAK Kiyoumi Maru.

xAK Mobile City sunk by a torpedo.

I-21 located near WC. Miss an AP.

I-26 located by AM Quatsino which launch an ASW attack, to no effect.

Anothe SS located near San Francisco. Some intel signal it as I-25.

SS Seawolf blows up the PB Kyo Maru#11 with a torpedo.

15th:

S-40 put a torpedo on an unknown xAK (but not sunk in the report ).

DD Kortenaer attacks the I-121. DD Witte de With attacks I-121 and I-156. At least one hit confirmed.

SS Stingray suffers heavy ASW attack but flee without damage !!.

DD Dent try to locate the I-172 at WC.

I-26 try to attack a convoy with escort. PC Vigilant and AM Chignecto, in several attacks, score some solid hits..

S-41 sunks the xAKL Hidaka Maru with 3 torpedoes.

SS Sailfish try to attack a troop convoy and suffer deph charges attack.

The I-26 is located (again), this time by a HK Group with 4 Flowers. KV Dawson hits her twice.

And finally, to show that there is life more ahead than SS Warfare:

xAKL Taurus and xAKL Sarangami were sunk by a TF lead by CL Nagara, with DDs Umikaze, Suzukaze and Shiokaze.

The Anzac cruises now will retreat to refuel, and will be back in a few days to make japanese life more sad.

At China, the AVG has intercept some Sonias, and the outcome is good:

I hope this last a bit. At least, til KB arrives an "put order in the room".

18/12/41

Silent Service launched a huge number of attacks at night (no less than 7), but only two torpedoes hit [:@]. : SS Snapper put a torpedo at xAK Kenyo Maru, and O16 at xAK Naruto Maru (on fire).

At Sidney, 5th Aussie Brigade is ready to improve its TOE to AIF Infantry Squad.

Hong Kong has fallen [:(]. The 38th japanese division storm the fortis, and the british base has fallen today. Two chinese corps sended to aid the british will be placed between HK and Canton to make a "annoying chinesese troops!!" tactic... I hope it serves.

Over Philippines my P-40s has begun to lose gas. Only about 20 remains. No P-35s, and just 4-5 P-26 ( xD amazing plane, oh, yeah ).

Same applies at Singapore. The Buffalos' aces are exhausted. Fatigue skyrocket from two days til now and the need a rest NOW.

- Lots of troops are been assembled at Bataan. 600 AV ready. Several PI Divisions are making delaying actions. The japanese has made no advances from Vigan nor Apparri...What are he doing ?

- In Malasia: The same applies. Only a couple of advances, but he has not even move more far than Alor Star...

Conclusion: SOMETHING BIG IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN.... . But what ?

113th Inf. Regiment is at Kota Baharu.  144th Infantry Regiment has strike at Wake three days ago. 148th Infantry Regiment is at Patany. 24 Inf. Regiment attacked Wake, 16th Inf. Regiment planning for Singapore, 2nd Tank Regiment at Aparri. 55th Inf Regiment at Singora. 6th Tank Regiment at Cam Rahn Bay 7 days ago.... hummmm

19/12/41

- The cursed I-16 sinks AM Tern near S.F. She was escorting a very important convoy (VIC). Another vessel will be send to replace the lose.

- Japanese forces has been sighted at Busuanga and Kudat. Allied HQ admitt the lose of those places.

- 2nd Recon Rgt, II/4th and III/4th Infantry Regiments sighted at Sambas, engaging british forces. Soon all North Coast of Borneo will be japanese.

- Some cadres of 11th Indian Division will be pulled back to Java, to rest and reform.

- The AVG/3rd Sqn reachs 26 kills !! The Flying Tigers are scoring an superb ratio and Chinese Skies are allied by the moment.

- Some japanese units sighted at Changsha. Artillery bombardment ordered to salute the enemy.

- The 17th Ind Div ( minus 1 bgde ) at Rangoon. The 1st Burma Division at Pegu. They will try to hold the 15th Army as south as posible. If routed, the order is run like the hell.

- Java: A large number of ships has left the island. Only xAKLs, and some combat vessels (plus ABDA fleet) remains here.

- Australia: Several american sqns have appeared at Brisbane. Their skill is...hummm...well...Intensive training ordered. 7BG has landed here today, with some FF, to be rebased at Charter Towers.

- Pearl Harbour: Port and AF clean. Fortress up and going. Lots of ships damaged. Some BB will take years to repair. Norfolk awaits them.

Sidenote: Stop the upgrading process of 5th Aussie Brigade. Not enough AIF squads at pool.

Plus: Not upgrade Armoured Aussie Regiments, but accept replacements, in order to fill them with Matildas...

LOGISTIC AND STAFF QUESTIONS

Several units awaits at WC to be lift to the front. PP are the key. What should be released first: The 27th or independent regiments ? Interesting question.

Some convoys have arrived yet at its destination, and are going back to bring more troops to the front. There is a huge lack of escorts. AMs, PCs and PGs will be complemented with AVDs, DMs and DMSs.

21 and 22th December

WAR AT CHINA
Image

The japanese army is suffering a lot. Serveral "minor" LCU are near destroyed.
The chinese Army continues it's pushing. After Ichang, a new target is on its aims.

Image

At Singyang, japanese troops with 92 AV has been spotted by a chinese corps which have entered at the city 2 days ago. Orders are push them !!!

SUBMARINE WARFARE

Image

Lot of attacks!!

RO-68 attacks at DD Litchfield. Dud!! (uff!!) . Counterattack get one hit, unconfirmed.
I-25 sank DD Cushing near San Francisco [:@]. All DDs are recalled and ordered escort missions. They will form convoys, and don't engage SS at their own.

xAKL Lematang sank trying to sail supplies to Singapore.

I-171 engages DD Dent. No consecuences. ( Lot of japanese duds!! ). The same with I-16 and Preston.

SS Pompano engages at surface xAKL Kennichi Maru. 10 hits. Probably sunk. The same night put a torpedo at xAK Dainiti Maru. Sounds of sinking.

SS Searaven and Tautog launch salvoes to no efect. Again dud is my main enemy.

Several electric S boats has been asigned to Australia Command. Townsville will be its new base (an AS is at 5 days ), and defend Port Moresby and Rabaul.

SIGINT points 144th Infantry Regiment sails to RABAUL, several australian cruisers departed today from Townsville. Two US CA, will depart tomorrow from Sidney.

@Sidenote: QueenElizabeth sucks. It is too big for the Pacific. Will sail to a "escape-port" and withdraw NOW.

CHINA:

Japanese attack over Hankow fails!! I get a 1-2. 1373 japanese losses against 1753 chinese. Yeah, I love this ratio. Lot of japanese devices reported as destroyed.

My push at Sinyang goes good: Another 1 to 1 has put its fortis to 2. I hope it will fall.
