Question about PP's

Post by JeffroK »

1) Is it possible to have variable numbers of PP's arrive each day?

For example 50 per day for 1941 and 100 per day in 1943-1945.

2) Can PP's be linked to an event.

Example, an Invasion of Hawaii or Honshu sees "5000" PP allocated on the next day.

3) How are the PP required to remove a unit from Restricted command, calculated?

Can I allocate units to restricted command and make them cost "4000?" PP to release?

I want to see if its possible to give the Allies a lot more forces than historically went to the PTO
but make them VERY expensive to buy.

For example, IRL, 9th Australian Division was in Syria on 7 Dec 1941 along with 6th & 7th Divs. the British released
6th & 7th Divs but kept 9th Div on the grounds the USA would send 2 (instead of 1) Divisons to Australia.

In the game there is no reason for the USA to send 2 Divs to OZ, but 9th Div doesnt get released for about 15 months.
I want to make it available, but at extreme cost which might make other changes too expensive.

Jeff K,

I've done a few big mods. Let me tell you what I understand to be possible. While you can change the daily alotment in the Editor Scenario tab, I dont think PP by date or event can be done in advance. You could try to go in and give a one day pulse by using the editor and switching it back the next day, but I dont know if it would work in an active game. As far as I know the PP cost to release units are fixed based on the elements in the units. It may be possible to set units as perma fixed and then remove that status (so can be bought out) if an event occurs. Again, this would require a mid-game edit if it can happen. Other than that, you can set up an HR, if you trust your opponent to stand up straight.
