The VVS is dropping out of the skies again I see, those IL-2 losses are simply staggering, it's almost like they have a negative armour value instead of protection.

I think something needs tweaking with aircombat not marrying up with weekly turns, not even Stalin would use his airforce in that death cycle

Perhaps it's really a bug with the IL-2, the other losses don't seem too high if the majority of the VVS flew sorties.

[ A small bookish looking supply General raises his hand.
"Excuse me sir. What if the Russians decide not to attack. What if they use the time to dig in, train their troops, and make their line unbreakable?"
"We can't claim victory as we are this far into Russia and they are recovering and getting stonger every day. Just as you presume to ignor Hitlers orders, Zhukov has just told Stalin to get stuffed."
"What if they take the next season off and let the Allies continue to bomb our cities into the stone age."

I don't understand how you can force us to use historical production, leaders, withdraws and ignor the fact that the German player can suddenly decide Total victory is an option? How is dear leader gonna feel in 45 when the weather in Berlin is 2500 degrees with scattered mushroom clouds? [:-]
If the Russians don't attack the Allies still win. They wouldn't make peace having stopped the Germans in 43 and still growing stronger than Germany daily. Holding in Russia is a loser for Germany.

This isn't War In Russia, the Russian player has to secure his victory objectives by the end of the game to win. If the German Army is still deep in Russia in May of 1945 the Russian player will be faced with a draw at best (final victory conditions yet to be determined) or more likely a defeat.

And I don't think people would find 101 turns of Don doing nothing very interesting

My god! Sitting with all those beautiful tank, mech, cav and rifle corps just waiting to fulfill their duty for the Motherland to evict the evil invaders for 101 turns doing nothing? Are you crazy? I want to smash, bash, crush and destroy as many Germans as possible and beat the real Zhukov to Berlin, comrades...

But yeah as jaw stated, if the Russians sit there doing nothing they loose.

Major Update:

We are at the phase in the development where we have received or are about receive some major changes to code and data, that could have a major impact on the way we have been testing to date. These changes require intensive testing, and at the moment there are not enough testers to go round to do everything that needs to be done.

Bottom line is that Don and I are needed on other sections of the front, so this thread will either be moved or locked temporarily. I stress temporarily, as both Don and I are keen to provide you with an interesting and informative AAR, but it is clear we may have jumped the gun in this case.

Who knows we may be back with a BETA AAR!
