1.08.02 Auto save not working

Post by gazfun »

Trying this out, especially the no tie issue in a Third party Battle, couldnt get the game to auto save.
Have I got the wrong serial number of something Marshall? [:)]

Hmmmm?
if you had the wrong SN then it shouldn't run???
It is saving somewhere or you would get an error???
Can you scan for the game .SAV files?
Thank you

I saw this too. It seems that if you install 1.08 in a separate folder (as per recommendation), the installation doesn't create a save folder, so there's nowhere for the autosaves (or any other saves) to go. However, if you just manually create one, it seems to work.

Aha! So the installer is not creating the folder! OK!
This should not happen in production.

Try this Garr and let me know...

UPDATE:
I havd to put in the commout and commin folder so we can get a gamestart file going.

Well, it seems that the upgrades are counting on the dir structure to be there already from the production original install so the folders are not being created! ARRRRG!

Thank you

What I found is the best thing to do is to copy your existing 1.07 install and install 1.08 over the top of that copy, rather than installing 1.08 in a new directory.
