Could somebody answer to question raised be crsutton, if planes on "rest" will join the CAP in case base is attacked or not? I mention to situation when for example 30% of planes fly CAP and other 70% is given rest command.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

I would like to see a definitive answer on that one myself.

It seems to me that if you have a squadron set to 30% CAP and 70% rest then those set to rest will not join the fray. Certainly if you set the squadron to 30% CAP and no other setting then the remaining 70% might join in the fight.

My experience has been the same as Bradfordkay. I set 50% usually. If I have 2 or more radars, the CAP almost always launches 80%+ of the total unit due to early warning.
