three questions

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

three questions

the first what is ment when the unit log says cribbing attack?

Also in the log when it says the unit has taken in other units (cant remember the exact words) what is happening here? The reason i ask is that I noticed it in a unit log and no unit had been killed or had to be merged so I was wondering what was happening...

Finally I'm not used to the start and end times for attacks...so I leave it at the moment...I have noticed though that when the attack has finished the unit order is still attack and it doesnt change to defend nor does the fatigue start to drop until I give a defend or rest order...not sure if it's because I leave the end of attack time which usually is the end of the scenario...the thing is how do you know how long to ngive to an attack...I don't want to underestimate and they decide to quit before the've finished.

Cribbing is in the PDF manual. Do a word search.

To crib is to bring forward the time.
Also in the log when it says the unit has taken in other units (cant remember the exact words) what is happening here? The reason i ask is that I noticed it in a unit log and no unit had been killed or had to be merged so I was wondering what was happening...
When units get very small the reassessment code may dissolve the unit and reallocate its personnel and equipment to nearby units.
You can safely reorder the attacking force once you see it switch from the final reorg to a defend. But you caould do it as soon as it goes to a final reorg and accept the fact that they be a disorganised.

Thanks Joe...

Arjuna

I understand they can absorb other units that are on their last legs but I hadn't lost a unit at that oint.

Also what I mean about the attack order...do you have to give an end date or make sure you go back and snapo them out of it...or will it happen on its own...it's just that I have units that have finished tha attack but they don't go into a defend task they just sit there with the attack order still showing..

Thanks
