Patch H (beta) Released

This revised and updated turn-based grand strategy game from the team at AGEOD brings players back to World War I, including both the Eastern and Western fronts and over 4 campaigns and 10 scenarios. As either a member of the Central Powers, the Entente or a neutral nation, players will confront the epic gauntlet of military and political challenges that faced the likes of Kitchener, Joffre, Luddendorf, Clemenceau, Czar Nicholas II or Enver Pasha.

Patch H (beta) Released

Post by 06 Maestro »

There was a new patch released this morning. The most profound item is a choice in multi core use. It seems that some with 4 core CPU's had extreme difficulties running the game-this patch works around that problem. RAM requirements has also been further reduced. There are multiple other improvements adding realism to the army by army mode.

Get the patch here. http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.p ... post181200

The beta patch is only for the "full" version of Gold and the demo. The official patches are for the original game also.

Hi Zorch,

Did you already apply the free update that brings you up to the original Gold release level in terms of bug fixes?

Erik,
Yes, I applied the patch to the original version and still had performance problems.
I just this minute upgraded to the Gold version...will try 1.08H as soon as it installs.

Problem w the patch and the 'update kit'

I purchased the Gold version about 20 days ago?

It has never worked. The patch says that I can choose single CPU mode. No you cant.

Apparently you have to have owned the original game, and upgraded it with the kit
THEN installed the H patch.

I never owned the original game. All this is frustrating. It looks like a great game.
Someday I hope to play it

You can run the game in single-CPU mode by selecting the appropriate run link in the Start Menu of Windows:

Be sure that link is in "World War One Gold" or "War World One" folder. Move it to the proper folder if necessary.

Thanks,
Calvinus.
